EXPERTS IN PASSIVE FIRE PROTECTION
OUR SPECIALIST PASSIVE FIRE SERVICES
Passive Fire Protection systems can protect assets and save lives in the event of a fire. They’re also a Building Code requirement. Designed to impede the spread of flames, smoke and toxic gases in a fire, Passive Fire Protection came under the spotlight globally after the Grenfell Tower disaster. This event highlighted the need for a drastic change in compliance and codes within the industry worldwide. Of course, not all Passive Fire Protection systems are the same, which is why at Flame Stoppers we assess each project on a case-by-case basis, ensuring project specifications align with best fit, best practice, and best value.
QS Management / Tendering
We have an expert QS team that not only brings extensive Passive Fire Protection technical expertise but also significant Tier 1 Construction experience to every project.
We can inspect buildings to identify areas that require Passive Fire compliance & do not meet building code, nominal AS 1530.4 / 4072.1 Passive Fire standards standards.
We then use the detailed report to design & specify products with before & after photos & can also provide a quote for the installation/rectification.
Installation
We are qualified & experienced in Passive Fire Protection systems installations, and have a highly trained team of technicians ready to install compliant solutions to not only meet, but exceed the requirements of the Building Code and AS1530.4/4072.1 Passive Fire Standards.
We pride ourselves on our care and attention to detail on site, and our ability to support the various sub-trades (electrics, plumbing, data) and their role in the Passive Fire Protection equation. We have a proven track record of delivering compliant solutions & obtaining approval / compliance from Fire Engineers, Council Inspectors & Building Warrant of Fitness inspectors for all our work.
QA / Reporting
Our Real-Time Mobile APP gets updated before and after fire stopping solutions are installed ensuring clear & concise information for all users (Council, Fire Engineers, Main Contractors). This information consists of photos, penetration locations within the building, solution types & FRR achieved. This can also be tailored to suit your project’s needs.
Everything we do for Passive Fire on-site gets carefully recorded and passes across the desk of our highly experienced QA Manager Hayden Wahanui. His role is key to achieving compliance, and his extensive construction background and technical Passive Fire expertise brings significant value to the table on every project.
Code Compliance Certification
Achieving compliance is fundamental to the success of each Passive Fire Protection project. At Flame Stoppers we look beyond compliance to ensure a best-for-project approach is applied to every project we work on. This is part of our Total Value Management (TVM) approach to Passive Fire.
At the heart of this approach is Quality Assurance (QA) and a commitment to being uncompromising on quality. For us, it's not just about getting it done, it's about getting it done right. This will deliver greater lifetime value to our clients, protect their assets better, and ultimately save more lives.
Health & Safety Management
The Health & Safety of our team, and our partner stakeholders, is our one number priority. We are committed to ensuring our people make it home safely every day.
We understand the Health & Safety requirements of large NZ construction sites, and because we have come from within the construction industry ourselves, we know the important role we play in maintaining these standards for our clients.
All Flame Stoppers staff are comprehensively inducted on H&S, and undergo regular ongoing training to stay on top of H&S best practice.
